WALTER MCILQUHAM - MARION WILLIAMSON

WALTER MCILQUHAM was born in Baldernock, Stirlingshire and baptised on the 28th of April 1751.

Son of JAMES MCELQUHAM and MARGARET ROBINSON.

James and Margaret were married in Baldernock on the 14th of February 1748. They had at least five children.

MARION WILLIAMSON was born in Baldernock and baptised on the 1st of April 1753.

Daughter of JAMES WILLIAMSON and JANET JAMESON.

Marion is sometimes known as 'May'.

Walter and Marion were married in Baldernock, Stirling, on the 19th of August 1786.

According to his daughter Mary's death certificate, Walter was a 'Contractor'.

Children:

  1. Mary McIlquham, born in Glasgow about 1803.
    2. Mary married John Frood, son of Alexander Frood and Ann Wilson.
Walter and Marion possibly had at least one other child. On the 1851 census the above mentioned Mary and her husband have a two year old boy Charles McIlquham staying with them; possibly a grandson of Walter and Marion.
