ALEXANDER RUSSELL - JANE RAMAGE

ALEXANDER YOUNGER RUSSELL was born at 152 Pittencrieff Street, Dunfermline, on the 23rd of April 1885.

Son of Arthur Russell and Jane Younger.

Alexander is at 117 Pittencrieff Street on the 1891 and 1901 census. He was living at 155 Pittencrieff Street at the time of his marriage. His occupation is given on the 1901 census as Cabinet Maker, and on his marriage certificate as Journeyman Joiner.

Alexander spent some time in the United States - he had been there in 1906, and again in 1907. In 1907 he was going to New York.

JANE RAMAGE was born at 75 Netherton Street, Dunfermline, at 10:30 AM on the 7th of March 1889.

Daughter of Archibald Ramage and Margaret Dick.

Jane is at 75 Netherton Street on the 1891 census and at 15? Pittencrieff Street on the 1901 census. She was living at 164 Pittencrieff Street at the time of her marriage. Her occupation is given as Weaver.

Alexander and Jane were married at 104 Pittencrieff Street on the 12th of March 1915.

    Arthur was married to Christina Cuthbert Garvie. He died at Bandrum Nursing Home, Steelend, Fife on the 10th of March 1992. His occupation was Electricity Meter Reader Foreman.

  2. Archibald Ramage Russell, born at 167 Pittencrieff Street, Dunfermline, on the 12th of October 1917

    Archibald moved to Portrush in Northern Ireland. He married Nancy Thomas Hunter.

  3. Alexander Younger Russell, born at 167 Pittencrieff Street, Dunfermline, on the 3rd of May 1920.

    Alexander was married to Clarice Cunningham Black. He died at West Fife Hospital on the 23rd of July 1980. His usual residence was 19 Shaw Street, Dunfermline. His occupation was Contracts Manager.

  4. John Younger Russell, born at 167 Pittencrieff Street, Dunfermline, on the 10th of August 1923.

    John married Mary Paton Bain Carmichael, daughter of James Carmichael and Annie Smyth.

Alexander died at 25 David Street, Dunfermline, on the 6th of July 1955.

Jane died at 56 Tuke Street on the 14th of August 1969. Her usual residence was 25 David Street.
